Wicklow Triathlon Club has released the Beast of the East.

Wicklow Triathlon Club was delighted to release the Beast of the East today as they announced the opening of the inaugural "Beast of the East" Triathlon, which will take place in Wicklow on the 19th July. The "Beast" is set to become Ireland's toughest olympic distance triathlon races.

Set in a stunning glacial valley, the race starts with 1.5km swim in Lough Dan. Competitors will then transition to their bikes for a challenging 40km cycle through the hills of Wicklow. The final leg is a tough 10km run out of the valley and back.

Some parking will be available and friends and spectators are welcome.

If you feel you have what it takes to tame the beast, then you can enter online here.
